Today has been an extremely hard day for me. As some of you close to me might know, I have been for the past two years caring for the best friend I have ever had. She had been through hard times and up time with me. She had been in the military with me and through college. She's moved from Killeen to Houston and stayed with me when I was to the point of near poverty.

But I have always kept her happy. She was always first priority in my life. When she got sick two years ago, Nearly to the day, I did everything I could to keep her well and out of pain. However it was only a matter of time. And today was the day. I couldn't stand to see her in pain any more. I couldn't stand to see her loose weight, suffer from weakness or seizures.

After 20 years of love, I finally had to let her go. at around 5:30 p.m., she passed away to a pain free life. To a place where she can be happy playing with her little puffy balls. Lying in the Sun and being my little sunshine girl.

I will miss her. Terribly. Very terribly. She will always have my love.

In a few days, I will get her ashes. I don't know what I will do with them. I don't even know what I will do with myself now.

I wanted to wish you a very Merry & Happy Birthday. I know I'm not really good with words. How to express things and feelings. I spent the night thinking on what to say. How to word it just right. To tell you what a wonderful friend you have been over the years. I've had so many people come and go but you have been there.

Sure, we don't really talk much. We are both a like in some ways. We are both introverts. Keep things to ourselves. We suffer through our personal problems, feelings and yet we give to others more than to ourselves. We are humbled when others give back. It can be a wonderful trait but a lonely one as well. But today, you have very many friends, all wishing you well and warm wishes.

I'm one.

I marvel at your talent. I marvel at how well you handle things. You are just special all around and I often wish I had half the talent you do. You have one of the best personalities I have ever known and that is saying something to be able to put up with mine.

I wish we shared more of the same like but I guess that is what makes our friendship the way it is. Unique in a way that it's managed to last this long. And speaking of likes. I made you this card. Just to let you know how special you truly are to me.

So now let's put on the party hats! Get the noise makers and celebrate this beloved and wonderful day!
